Motorists urged to drive with care on rainy days

Owing to wet weather, motorists are advised to drive with extra

care.

Traffic Police pointed out that under such condition, twice the

normal stopping distance is required. Motorists are therefore urged to

reduce speed and to extend the distance between themselves and the vehicle

in front.

For safety reason, motorists are also advised to turn on

headlights to improve visibility while driving. They should pay careful

attention in changing lanes.

Pedestrians are advised to take heed of traffic while crossing the

roads, particularly at busy junctions or when their view is obstructed.
