The Government today (June 30) announced the membership of the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals. Members are appointed by the Chief Executive for a two-year term from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2008.
The advisory committee advises the Director of Immigration on entry applications received under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme and Admission Scheme for Mainland Talent and Professionals.
The Advisory Committee is chaired by the Hon Henry Fan Hung-ling, SBS, JP, and comprises three ex-officio members and 15 non-official members. The 15 non-official members are (in alphabetical order):

Official members on the committee are representatives from the Economic Development and Labour Bureau, Education and Manpower Bureau and Security Bureau.
"The current Advisory Committee on Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals, which advises the Director of Immigration on entry applications received under the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals, will be dissolved tomorrow (July 1) upon the establishment of the new advisory committee," a government spokesman said.
