The Lands Department announced today (June 13) that a site in Lantau had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.
Lot 246 in DD 331, at Cheung Fu Street, Cheung Sha will be offered for sale at the first land auction of this financial year, which is scheduled for July 18, 2006 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
A Lands Department spokesman said that the Government had accepted the minimum guaranteed bid of $ 14.4675 million. This will be the opening bid at the auction.
The lot has a site area of 2,240 square metres and a minimum gross floor area of 538 square metres must be completed. The site is designated for private residential purposes.
The spokesman noted that it was the first auction following the announcement of the new Application List on March 17, 2006.
The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded to the Lands Department's website (http://www.info.gov.hk/landsd/) by June 30, when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
