Police are investigating a homicide in which a 73-year-old woman was found dead in Yuen Long today (June 9).
The case came to light around noon when the womanˇ¦s 40-year-old daughter and 46-year-old son paid a visit to her home at Yuk Ping House of Long Ping Estate. They found their motherˇ¦s bedroom locked from inside and reported the case to Police.
Police officers sped to the scene and firemen forced open the bedroom. The woman, covered by a quilt, was lying unconscious on the bed and was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene.
No external wound was found on the deceased. A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow (June 10) afternoon to ascertain the cause of her death.
Her 76-year-old husband was later arrested in connection with the case.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Yuen Long are proceeding.
