The Secretary for Justice, Mr Wong Yan Lung, SC, today (June 7, UK time) addressed a breakfast meeting of the Law Society where he outlined legal developments in Hong Kong and answered questions from the informed audience. On the second day of his five-day UK visit, Mr Wong also called on the Attorney-General for England and Wales, Lord Goldsmith, QC, and the Chairman of the UK Law Commission, Sir Roger Toulson, among other officials. Tomorrow (June 8, UK time) he will meet the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Mike Gapes, and former Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Howe, before addressing members of the Hong Kong Association Committee and a gathering at the international affairs think tank, Chatham House.
