A seminar on the prevention and control of avian influenza was organised by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health earlier this week to strengthen the regionˇ¦s professional capacity in the fight against the disease.
The one-and-a-half day seminar was held at the department's Public Health Laboratory Centre (PHLC) on May 10 and 11, and was attended by public health, clinical and veterinary experts from the Mainland, Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Apart from exchanging information and sharing experience in their works, the participants also toured the CHP, PHLC and the Princess Margaret Hospital to look at various facilities.
