Ceremony for appointment of Senior Counsel to be postponed

The following is issued on behalf of the Judiciary:

     The Judiciary announced today (April 18) that the execution of the Instrument of Appointment and ceremonial proceedings for the appointment of seven Senior Counsel of the Hong Kong Administrative Region, originally scheduled to be held on May 13, 2006, will be postponed to May 20, 2006.

     The ceremonial proceedings will be held at 10am in Court No. 7 in the High Court on May 20, 2006.
