Secretary for Home Affairs issues statement on death of District Council member

    The following is a statement by the Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho, today (March 24) on the death of a member of Central and Western District Council, Mr Henry Leung Yiu-cho:

     "I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr Leung.

     "Mr Leung was elected as a member of the Central & Western District Council in 2000 and re-elected in 2004. I very much appreciate his enthusiasm for and dedication in serving the community.

     "Mr Leung's death is a great loss to the District Council. On behalf of my colleagues, I extend my deep condolences to his family."
