The Government intends to construct desalination facilities to provide fresh water for irrigation use of the proposed third golf course on Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung.
The construction works, which will affect an area of about 14,700 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed, are scheduled to commence in the 2nd quarter of 2006 and to be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2007.
A notice describing the extent of area affected is published in the Government Gazette today (February 24).
The notice together with a related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site. The plan can also be inspected at the Lands Department's Survey and Mapping Office, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road; and Sai Kung District Office, 2/F, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung.
Anyone who has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved can submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, on or before April 24, 2006.
