Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the City Hall in Central to facilitate the rehearsal of the Ceremonial Opening of the Legal Year 2006 on January 6 and the actual event on January 9.
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 1 pm to 5 pm on January 6 and between 1.30 pm and 8 pm on January 9:
Road closure:
------------
- The section of Queen's Pier Square of Edinburgh Place; and
- The section of northbound Edinburgh Place (east) between Connaught Road Central and Lung Wui Road.
Traffic diversions:
------------------
- Traffic along eastbound Connaught Road Central will be prohibited to turn left onto northbound Edinburgh Place (east);
- The northbound traffic of Edinburgh Place (east) will be reverted to southbound; and
- Traffic along westbound Lung Wui Road will be prohibited to turn right onto Queen's Pier Square.
Temporary suspension of residents services bus stop:

- The resident services bus stops for route 47, 61, 65, 67, 68, 71, 74 and 77 at the Queen's Pier Square will be temporarily suspended.
