Notification of human avian flu case

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health was notified today (December 8) by the Ministry of Health confirming a human case of avian influenza H5N1 involving a 31-year-old woman in Liaoning Province.
A CHP spokesman said the woman developed symptoms on October 30. She suffered from fever and pneumonia and has recovered.
