Police will implement special traffic arrangements on December 11 (Sunday) to facilitate a public meeting at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay followed by a procession to march off from Victoria Park.
(A) Road closure
The following roads will be closed from 2pm and as necessary:
(1) The U-turn loop underneath Tai Hang Road Flyover between southbound Gloucester Road and Sugar Street;
(2) Northbound Gloucester Road from the U-turn loop underneath Tai Hang Road Flyover to Kingston Street;
(3) Sugar Street;
(4) Great George Street;
(5) Paterson Street between Kingston Street and Great George Street;
(6) Westbound Kingston Street between Gloucester Road and Paterson Street;
(7) Jardine's Bazaar;
(8) Tang Lung Street;
(9) Canal Road East between Russell Street and Hennessy Road;
(10) Canal Road West between Sharp Street West and Hennessy Road;
(11) Wan Chai Road between Canal Road West and Morrison Hill Road; and
(12) Bowrington Road between Sharp Street West and Hennessy Road.
The following roads will be closed from 2.30pm and as necessary:
(1) Southbound Gloucester Road between Victoria Park Flyover and Causeway Road;
(2) Cleveland Street between Gloucester Road and Kingston Street;
(3) Eastbound Kingston Street between Paterson Street and Inner Gloucester Road; and
(4) Paterson Street between Kingston Street and Inner Gloucester Road.
The following roads will be closed from 3pm and as necessary:
(1) Westbound Causeway Road;
(2) Moreton Terrace;
(3) Shelter Street;
(4) Slip road leading from eastbound Yee Wo Street to Leighton Road;
(5) Irving Street;
(6) Westbound Yee Wo Street between Pennington Street and Hennessy Road;
(7) Lee Garden Road between Kai Chiu Road and Hennessy Road;
(8) Yun Ping Road between Lan Fong Road and Kai Chiu Road;
(9) Kai Chiu Road;
(10) Percival Street between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road;
(11) Slip road leading from eastbound Johnston Road to westbound Hennessy Road;
(12) Luard Road between Johnston Road and Hennessy Road; and
(13) Thomson Road between Johnston Road and Luard Road.
The following roads will be closed at anytime and as necessary:
(1) Yacht Street;
(2) Lau Li Street between Ngan Mok Street and Hing Fat Street;
(3) Electric Road between Lau Sin Street and Tsing Fung Street;
(4) Lau Sin Street between the cul-de-sac outside Park Tower and Hing Fat Street;
(5) Hing Fat Street between Causeway Road and Lau Sin Street;
(6) Northbound Tai Hang Road Flyover between slip road to Tung Lo Wan Road and westbound Victoria Park Road;
(7) Pennington Street between Keswick Street and Yee Wo Street;
(8) Southbound Percival Street between Gloucester Road Service Road and Lockhart Road;
(9) Westbound Hennessy Road;
(10) Fenwick Street between Hennessy Road and Johnston Road; and
(11) Anton Street.
The following roads will be closed from around 4.30pm (about half an hour after the procession started) and as necessary:
(1) Queen's Road East between Monmouth Path and Hennessy Road;
(2) Westbound Queensway;
(3) Slip road leading from northbound Justice Drive to westbound Queensway;
(4) Slip road leading from southbound Cotton Tree Drive Flyover to westbound Queensway;
(5) Garden Road between Garden Road Flyover and Queensway;
(6) Queen's Road Central between Queensway and Ice House Street; and
(7) Bank Street.
(B) Traffic diversion
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 2pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along southbound Gloucester Road will be prohibited to turn right onto U-turn loop leading to northbound Gloucester Road;
(2) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street is prohibited to turn left onto Sugar Street;
(3) Traffic along northbound Tai Hang Road Flyover is prohibited to turn left onto westbound Kingston Street;
(4) Traffic along southbound Paterson Street must turn left to eastbound Kingston Street;
(5) Traffic along southbound Cleveland Street is prohibited to turn right onto westbound Kingston Street.
(6) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street is prohibited to turn left onto Jardine's Bazaar;
(7) Traffic along westbound Hennessy Road will be prohibited to turn left into southbound Canal Road East;
(8) Traffic along westbound Russell Street must turn left at the junction with Canal Road East;
(9) Traffic along northbound Canal Road West near the junction with Sharp Street West, will be diverted to up-ramp leading to northbound Canal Road Flyover;
(10) Traffic along eastbound Sharp Street West will be diverted to up-ramp leading to northbound Canal Road Flyover;
(11) Traffic along eastbound Sharp Street West will be prohibited to turn left into northbound Bowrington Road;
(12) Traffic along northbound Bowrington Road must turn right into eastbound Sharp Street West; and
(13) Traffic along eastbound Wan Chai Road must turn right into southbound Morrison Hill Road.
The following road diversions will be implemented at anytime as necessary:
(1) Traffic along westbound Gloucester Road Service Road will be prohibited to turn left into southbound Cleveland Street;
(2) Traffic along westbound Gloucester Road Service Road will be prohibited to turn left into southbound Paterson Street;
(3) Traffic along slip road leading from westbound Victoria Park Road to Gloucester Road Service Road, must turn right before the junction with Cleveland Street;
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 2.30pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along southbound Victoria Park Flyover must turn right to Gloucester Road Service Road.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 3pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic from westbound King's Road must turn left into southbound Tung Lo Wan Road, or turn right into northbound Hing Fat Street;
(2) Traffic along westbound Tung Lo Wan Road is prohibited to turn right into Moreton Terrace;
(3) Section of eastbound Tung Lo Wan Road from outside St. Paul's Hospital to Moreton Terrace will be re-routed one-way westbound. Vehicular traffic will only be allowed under Police direction at scene;
(4) Traffic along the abovementioned Tung Lo Wan Road must turn left, either heading for Ka Ning Path or Eastern Hospital Road except franchised buses;
(5) Traffic (except bus, Green Minibus and vehicle over 7 metres in length) along the slip road leading from northbound Tai Hang Road to the abovementioned Tung Lo Wan Road, must turn left into this section of Tung Lo Wan Road which is re-routed to one-way westbound;
(6) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street will be prohibited to turn right into southbound Tung Lo Wan Road or westbound Leighton Road;
(7) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street will be prohibited to turn left onto westbound Yee Wo Street;
(8) Traffic along northbound Yun Ping Road must turn left onto westbound Lan Fong Road;
(9) Traffic from Kai Chiu Road Hennessy Centre Carpark must turn left into southbound Lee Garden Road and turn right into Fu Ming Street;
(10) Traffic along southbound Percival Street must turn right into westbound Lockhart Road;
(11) Traffic along eastbound Hennessy Road will be prohibited to turn right onto southbound Percival Street;
(12) Traffic along eastbound Lockhart Road will be prohibited to turn right onto southbound Percival Street;
(13) Traffic along westbound Leighton Road must turn left into Wong Nai Chung Road except franchised bus;
(14) Traffic along northbound Tai Wong Street East must turn left or right before the junction with Luard Road;
(15) Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road will be prohibited to turn left onto northbound Luard Road;
(16) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road will be prohibited to turn right onto Thomson Road western junction;
(17) Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road will be prohibited to turn left onto Thomson Road western junction; and
(18) Traffic along southbound Fenwick Street must turn left onto eastbound Hennessy Road.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from 3.30pm onwards and as necessary:
(1) Traffic along northbound Tin Lok Lane will be prohibited to turn left onto westbound Hennessy Road;
(2) Traffic along southbound Stewart Road will be prohibited to turn right onto westbound Hennessy Road;
(3) Traffic along southbound Fleming Road is prohibited to turn right onto westbound Hennessy Road;
(4) Traffic along northbound Fleming Road is prohibited to turn left onto westbound Hennessy Road;
(5) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road will be prohibited to turn right onto northbound Luard Road;
(6) Traffic from southbound Fenwick Street must turn left or right onto Hennessy Road both bounds;
(7) Traffic along westbound Johnston Road must turn left onto southbound Ship Street; and
(8) Traffic along northbound Landale Street must turn right onto eastbound Johnston Road.
Traffic along the following roads will be diverted from around 4.30pm onwards (about half an hour after the procession started) and as necessary:
(1) Northbound Justice Drive must go straight to the Justice Drive Flyover;
(2) Traffic along westbound Queen's Road East must turn left into the Justice Drive;
(3) Traffic along eastbound Queensway will be prohibited to turn right into southbound Cotton Tree Drive;
(4) Traffic along eastbound Queensway will be prohibited to turn right into eastbound Queen's Road East;
(5) Traffic along southbound Cotton Tree Drive Flyover will be prohibited to turn right to the down ramp (the Bank of China Tower ramp) leading to westbound Queensway;
(6) Traffic along northbound Garden Road will be diverted to Garden Road Flyover.
(C) Suspension of bus stops
All bus stops along the closed roads are to be suspended until the resumption of services.
(D) Suspension of public light bus (PLB) and taxi stands
All PLB stands and taxi stands (including the the pick-up/drop-off points) along the closed roads are to be suspended from two hours before the commencement of the procession until the crowd is dispersed.
(E) Suspension of car parks
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks from two hours before the procession until the crowd is dispersed.
(1) 'Park Lane' Car Park at 310 Gloucester Road (entrance at Great George Street);
(2) In Square Car Park at 311 Gloucester Road (entrance at Great George Street); and
(3) Hang Lung Centre Car Park at 2 Paterson Street (entrance at Great George Street).
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks one hour before the procession until the crowd is dispersed.
(1) The Hennessy Centre at 500 Hennessy Road (vehicles may leave the carpark to Percival Street via Fu Ming Street);
(2) The open-air car park in Tang Lung Street;
(3) On Lok Lane;
(4) CNT Tower at 326 Hennessy Road;
(5) Cheuk Nang 21st Century Plaza at 244 Hennessy Road; and
(6) Shanghai Industrial Investment Building at 48 Hennessy Road.
Due to road closures, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the following public/private car parks 30 minutes after the commencement of the procession until the crowd is dispersed.
(1) Cheung Kong Centre at 2 Queen's Road Central;
(2) Bank of China Tower at 1 Garden Road;
(3) Standard Chartered Bank Building at 3 Queen's Road Central; and
(4) The alley next to 9 Queen's Road Central.
