In response to media enquiries on a report in the Apple Daily today (December 2) alleging that a recent government survey of public opinion was misleading and intended to smear a rally scheduled for December 4, a Government spokesperson said that the report was untrue.
The report quoted a reader complaining that a researcher, while seeking views on the rally scheduled for December 4 in a telephone interview, offered only four biased choices of answers.
The spokesperson pointed out that such a question had never featured in recent polls conducted or commissioned by the Central Policy Unit.
