Police today (December 2) charged a 42-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man jointly with one count of conspiracy to defraud.
Officers from Commercial Crime Bureau mounted an operation and arrested the two defendants yesterday (December 1) for using false bank statements and fraudulent commercial invoices for drawing credit facilities from three local banks, involving HK$9.8 million.
The duo will appear in the Eastern Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow (December 3) to face their charge.
The remaining four persons arrested in the same operation yesterday, including three men and one woman aged between 32 and 52, have been bailed out pending further investigations.
