Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island to facilitate a charity walk to be held on December 4 (Sunday).
The charity walk will start at Hong Kong Stadium at about 9.30 am and finish at Aberdeen Country Park.
Special traffic arrangments to be implemented are as follows:
Road closure:
-------------
(1) A section of westbound Caroline Hill Road between Link Road and Eastern Hospital Road will be closed from 9 am.
(2) A section of uphill Link Road between Caroline Hill Road and Broadwood Road will be closed from 8 am. The downhill section will be closed when necessary.
(3) A section of downhill Broadwood Road between Link Road and Tai Hang Road will be closed from 8.30 am.
(4) A section of westbound Tai Hang Road between Broadwood Road and Blue Pool Road will be closed from 8.30 am, except that the section of Tai Hang Road between Upper Blue Pool Road and Blue Pool Road can be assessed by residents; and
(5) The uphill inner lane of Wong Nai Chung Gap Road outside the tennis courts of Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be closed from 8 am.
Road diversions
---------------
The following road diversions will be implemented from 7 am:
(1) A section of westbound Caroline Hill Road between Leighton Road and Eastern Hospital Road will be routed one-way southbound;
(2) A section of eastbound Caroline Hill Road between Leighton Road and Cotton Path will be routed one-way northbound, and
(3) A section of Eastern Hospital Road between Caroline Hill Road and Cotton Path will be routed one-way northbound. Vehicular access to St. Paul's Hospital carpark from Tung Lo Wan Road will however be maintained;
The following road diversions will be implemented from 8 am:
(1) A section of Link Road between Broadwood Road and Caroline Hill Road West will be routed one-way downhill. Traffic along Link Road downhill may be prohibited to turn right at the junction between Link Road and Caroline Hill Road and at the junction between Caroline Hill Road and Leighton Road;
The following road diversions will be implemented from 8.30 am:
(1) A section of Broadwood Road between Link Road and Tai Hang Road will be routed one-way southbound;
(2) Westbound traffic on Tai Hang Road will be diverted into either Perkins Road or the eastbound carriageway of Tai Hang Road;
(3) Except for the local residents, franchised buses and maxicabs, eastbound traffic on Tai Hang Road will be diverted onto Blue Pool Road at the junction of Tai Hang Road and Blue Pool Road;
- Access to Coombe Road from Magazine Gap Road will be restricted to the local residents only;
- Catering vehicles will not be allowed to enter the Wan Chai Gap area after 10.30 am; and
- A section of Mount Butler Road between Henderson Road and Price Road will be routed one-way southbound.
Suspension of parking spaces

(1) The parking spaces on Stadium Path, Caroline Hill Road between Stadium Path and Cotton Path, Eastern Hospital Road Service Road and Hoi Ping Road will be suspended between 6 am and 2 pm while those in the Coombe Road Carpark between 6 am and 3 pm.
(2) Access to and from public carparks within the closed areas may also be affected during the event.
Suspension of bus stops

(1) The bus stop on the uphill carriageway of Wong Nai Chung Gap Road near the tennis courts of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be suspended between 8 am and 3 pm.
(2) The bus stop of bus route No. 5B originally located on Eastern Hospital Road opposite to the East Carpark of Hong Kong Stadium will be relocated to Eastern Hospital Road, opposite to Wong Fung Ling College.
Prohibition to learner drivers

The following roads will be prohibited to all learner drivers between 7 am to 3 pm:
Tai Hang Road, Leighton Road, Sharp Street East, Percival Street south of Hennessy Road, Caroline Hill Road, Link Road, Stadium Path, Cotton Path, Eastern Hospital Road, Eastern Hospital Road Service Road, Broadwood Road, southbound Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, southbound Stubbs Road Flyover, Aberdeen Reservoir Road and Yue Kwong Road.
Motorists are advised to take heed of traffic signs and follow instructions from Traffic Police at the scene. Any vehicles found illegally parked within the closed areas will be towed away without prior notice.
