Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) spokesperson made the following announcement today (November 30)
Six nursing and supporting staff (1 male and 5 female) from Accident & Emergency Department have reported fever or respiratory symptoms on November 29 and 30. Three of them have already returned to their normal duty and the remaining three are on sick leave. Influenza A & B tests have been arranged for the staff according to their clinical condition, results of three staff members were negative.
The Department maintains its normal service and cleansing has been reinforced. All staff on duty were requested to strictly adhere to the standard infection control measures.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for follow up.
