To mark the 20th anniversary of the Highways Department in June 2006, the department is holding a photo competition entitled Highway Infrastructure at a Glance.¡@The public is invited to participate in the competition.
The photo competition is aimed at promoting community awareness of the various highway infrastructure projects developed over the years, as well as their relationships with people.
The competition comprises two sections, the "Open Competition" and the "School" section. The "Open Competition" section welcomes all members of the public, while the "School" section is open only to secondary school students. Entries should be submitted from tomorrow (December 1) to February 28, 2006. Entries can be either film photos or digital photos of 3.0 megapixel or above.
Prizes will be presented to entrants of award-winning photos in mid-2006. Winning entries will be displayed in the Highways Department 20th Anniversary Roving Exhibition.
All entries should be submitted by mail or in person to the Highways Department, 2/F, Homantin Government Offices, 88 Chung Hau Street, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon by 5pm on February 28, 2006. Late submissions will not be accepted.
