Appeal for information on abandoned baby boy (with photo)
*********************************************************

Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby boy who was found deserted in Kowloon City yesterday (November 28).

At about 5pm, a 29-year-old man heard a baby crying in a church at 258 Prince Edward Road West and reported the case to the Police.  Police arrived at the scene and found a baby boy being abandoned inside the church.

Standing about 26 centimetres and weighing about 3.5 kilograms, the baby boy is about one month old.  He was wearing a white romper, a pair of white socks with teddy bear figures and was wrapped in a white and pink cape with teddy bear patterns when found.  A plastic bag containing some diapers and another white and pink cape was also found beside him.

Police urge relatives of the baby boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the District Investigation Team of Kowloon City on 2761 8256 or the Kowloon City Report Room on 2711 6955.
