Hong Kong is gearing up for a warm welcome to the Delegation of the Shenzhou-6 Manned Space Flight Mission arriving tomorrow (November 27) for a three-day visit.
Posters, giant wall banners and colourful lamppost buntings welcoming astronauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng as well as the delegation have been put up in more than 20 locations in Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hung Hom, Tseung Kwan O and Sha Tin.
Three types of souvenirs – rocket balloon, key chain and flash button - have been produced.
A dedicated webpage on the visit of the Shenzhou-6 delegation has also been set up in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government homepage at www.gov.hk/info/shenzhou6 to give the public a feel of the excitement and atmosphere of the astronauts' visit.
The webpage provides comprehensive, up-to-date information on the visit of the delegation, including the itinerary, press releases and video clips.
There is a photo gallery section to which more event pictures of the visit will be uploaded.
A number of useful links to special reports on the successful mission of Shenzhou-6 can also be found on the website.
