Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 54-year-old man was killed in Lok Ma Chau today (November 25).

     At about 9.40am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling along Sheung Shui bound of Castle Peak Road in San Tin, while a bicycle as driven by a 54-year-old man in the same direction.  Upon reaching the junction with Tung Wing On Road, the MGV driver turned left to Tung Wing On Road and reportedly knocked down the bicycle.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the 54-year-old man was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 10.16am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
