Police today (November 24) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident which occurred in Central earlier this month.
At about 8.50 pm on November 17, a light goods vehicle driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along southbound Jubilee Street. While making a right turn into westbound Des Voeux Road Central, it reportedly knocked down a 74-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to the Queen Mary's Hospital where she was certified dead at 11.15 pm on November 19.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
Police urge anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8849.
