Following is a transcript (English portion) of a media session by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, in Busan, Korea today (November 16):
Reporter: Can you just tell us what the focus of the talks ¡K
Chief Executive: Well, we talked around several main themes. The most important subject is how we are going to make the Sixth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization to be held in Hong Kong next month to be a great success. We believe it is important for us to move the whole multi-lateral trading system forward in order to strengthen the system. This meeting will be critical in articulating the collective will of the East Asian leaders and the Asian-Pacific leaders on how we believe this process should be brought forward. Another subject we talked about was avian flu, particularly our different ways of preparing against a pandemic of this nature. As regards my meeting with President Jintao, I¡¦m going to tell him the latest position in Hong Kong, the political situation and the social and economic situations in Hong Kong.
