The two-day auction for the Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair was conducted smoothly. A total revenue of $7,182,320 was brought, compared with $10,558,300 last year.
Out of the 483 stalls at the Fair, 474 stalls, including 293 for dry goods, 178 for wet goods and three for fast food were successfully let out during the two-day open auction at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
The second day auction for the 300 dry goods stalls was held today (November 15) with 293 stalls let out. Today's auction attracted around 1600 participants. The successful bid prices for the stalls ranged from $7,180 to $39,800, with an average price at $15,849, which is about 2 times of the opening price at $7,180.
Auction of stalls for Lunar New Year Fairs in Kowloon and the New Territories will start tomorrow and next Wednesday (November 23) respectively.
