Police today (November 15) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a traffic accident occurred in Wan Chai last month (October) in which a 32-year-old man was seriously injured.
Shortly after 10.30 pm on October 29, a motorcycle and a light goods vehicle (LGV) were travelling along westbound Gloucester Road in sequence. While approaching the junction with Arsenal Street, the motorcycle stopped to comply with the traffic condition but the LGV failed to stop and rammed onto the motorcycle.
After the impact, the 32-year-old male motorcyclist was trapped underneath the LGV and was rescued by firemen. The man was sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.
Police appealed to members of the public who had witnessed the accident to contact the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic Hong Kong Island on 3106 8800 or 3106 8847.
