The Correctional Services Department Sports Association will hold its 53rd Autumn Fair tomorrow (November 12) at the football field adjacent to Stanley Prison. It will open from 11am to 5pm and admission is free.
Products manufactured by inmates of penal institutions, including arts and handicrafts, toys and rattan and wooden furniture, will be on sale at about 40 stalls. Proceeds will be donated to various charities.
To cope with the establishment of "Correctional Services Staff Volunteer Group" in February, 2005, the theme of the coming fair is "We Care, We Serve".
Apart from stall selling, the fair also features a rich entertainment programme including auction, international cuisine competition, performance of guard dogs, marching band display and dancing performance. Four contestants from this year's Miss Hong Kong pageant will also attend.
The fair ground is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260 and 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52.
