Police today (November 10) reclassified a wounding case that occurred in Tsuen Wan yesterday (November 9) afternoon as murder.
At about 2.30 pm yesterday, Police received a report that a man was found injured inside Tak Wah Park in Tsuen Wan Market Street. The injured man had earlier been seen being attacked by another man with a long knife.
Enquiries revealed that the culprit is about 60 years old, stands at about 1.6 metres and of medium build. He was last seen wearing a light coloured short-sleeve checkers shirt, a pair of dark coloured trousers, carrying a dark coloured bag and armed with a two feet long knife. This man fled away to Tak Wah Street direction immediately after the incident.
Police officers sped to the scene and located the 58-year-old man who sustained serious injuries.
The man was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.12 am today.
A post-mortem on the deceased will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations by District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan District are proceeding.
