Hannspree launches its first Pro-Shop in Hong Kong

    Creative LCD TV company Hannspree celebrated the grand opening of its first Hannspree Pro-Shop in Hong Kong today (November 9).  The new shop is located in Times Square, Causeway Bay.

     Since its launch in Taiwan last year Hannspree has been expanding worldwide in key consumer markets.  In addition to the new Hong Kong shop and its flagship store in Taipei, Hannspree currently has an image store in Beverley Hills, California and two other flagship stores in San Francisco and Shanghai.

     The Chairman of Hannspree, Mr Terrence Chiao, said the company was very excited about the opening of its first shop in Hong Kong.  He described the new shop as an important milestone of Hannspreeˇ¦s global business development.

     "Our themed product lines are designed to take audio visual entertainment to a new level by incorporating contemporary design elements in LCD TVs.  To stay ahead of the competition in today's home products market, it is important for us to identify and build presence in key strategic cities where consumers are receptive to new products," Mr Chiao said. "Hong Kong, recognised as one of the most vibrant consumer markets in the world, is naturally an excellent place to showcase our innovative products to international customers.

     "Looking ahead, Hannspree will continue to aggressively develop its LCD TV business in Greater China and Europe. With the opening of Hannspree Pro-shop in Hong Kong, we plan to introduce a forward-looking lifestyle to Asian markets, characterised by highly creative, individual and functional home items," Mr Chiao said.
 
     Officiating at the grand opening today, the Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr Mike Rowse, warmly welcomed Hannspree's investment in Hong Kong. He said Hong Kong was in the forefront of the global consumer market and always looking for companies and innovative brands. "The opening of companies like Hannspree in Hong Kong will enhance the richness and variety of our offerings to the market locally and regionally.  We look forward to celebrating further expansion of Hannspree in Hong Kong.ˇ¨
