Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a newborn baby boy who was found abandoned in Tsuen Wan early this (November 5) morning.
At about 2.20 am, a 32-year-old man heard a woman shouting out from a female toilet at Yan Chai Hospital when he was waiting for his friend outside. The woman was later seen rushing out of the toilet. The man then found a naked baby boy in a rubbish bin inside a cubicle of the toilet. A report was then made to Police.
The baby boy is about 2.9 kilograms in weight and about 25 centimetres in height with an umbilical cord attached.
Police urged relatives of the baby boy or anyone who has information to offer, in particular the woman who was seen shouting and rushing out from the toilet, to contact the investigating officers at 2417 5223 or 2417 5224.
