Appeal for the identity of a woman in Yuen Long traffic accident

    Police appealed to the members of the public to provide information on the identity of an old woman who was injured in a traffic accident in Yuen Long today (November 5).

     At about 11.30 am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man was travelling along Ma Miu Road heading Tuen Mun. Shortly after it turned left to Ma Wang Road, it reportedly knocked down an old woman who was pushing a handcart crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the old woman was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical treatment.

     The old woman, aged about 80, did not carry any identity documents at the time of the accident. She is of thin build, about 1.5 metres tall. She was wearing purple shirt with blue and white spots, a brown jumper with maple leaves pattern and a pair of gold ear rings mounting with pearl and jade.

     Investigations by the Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.

     Anyone who has information on the identity of the woman or might have witnessed the accident is urged to contact the Duty Officer of the Report Room of Traffic New Territories North at 2677 6299.
