The Lands Department has produced a video to publicise its work.
A department spokesman said today (November 2) that the aim of the video was to give the public a better understanding of the functions and services of the department, which is responsible for administering land in Hong Kong.
"The video comprises 16 modules, with three language versions (Cantonese, English and Putonghua) available. Each module introduces a specific work area of the department, including land disposal, lease modification, administration of Consent Scheme, short-term tenancies, Government land control, digital maps and aerial photos."
Copies of the video have been sent to all district councils, professional institutes, government advisory bodies and university libraries.
The video is now being shown at the reception areas of the department's headquarters and at various District Lands Offices. It is also available for viewing at the Lands Department homepage http://www.info.gov.hk/landsd/.
