Action-packed programme offered at holiday village
**************************************************

Bird-watching, astronomy, adventure activities, sports climbing, archery, a rope course, dance night, carnival and other camping activities -- all these can be enjoyed simply by signing up for a camping programme to be organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).

The Theme Camp 2005, which will be held at Lady MacLehose Holiday Village from December 28 to 30, is designed specifically for camping enthusiasts. The activities and sports programmes are all arranged for the participants. This provides a good chance for participants to get close to the nature and to enjoy some fun outdoor exercise.

An LCSD spokesman said the camping activities were designed with different themes every year.

"This year, we will prepare action-packed programmes that are suitable for people aged six or above,กจ he said.

"People who love either sports or leisure activities are welcome to join."

"One of the aims of these activities is to develop co-operation and team spirit," the spokesman added.

Applications to join the Theme Camp 2005 can be submitted by applicants aged 18 or above, on behalf of a team of three to eight members. The fee is $243 for people from 14 to 59 years, and $193 for people from 6 to 13, aged 60 or above, or full-time students. The fee covers meals and accommodation.

Forms are now available at all LCSD's District Leisure Services Offices in the 18 districts and the four holiday villages (including Lady MacLehose Holiday Village, Sai Kung Outdoor Recreation Centre, Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre and Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village).

Enrolments will start on Monday (October 24). Completed application forms should reach Lady MacLehose Holiday Village, Pak Tam, Sai Kung, New Territories either by mail or by fax (2792 0254) by November 7.

Quotas for the camp will be allocated by drawing lots if the number of applications exceeds the maximum capacity of the camp site.

Enquiries can be made on 2792 3084.
