Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 77-year-old woman was killed in Chai Wan today (October 14).
Shortly after 11.55 am, a school bus driven by a 32-year-old man was travelling along westbound of Wan Tsui Road. Upon reaching near the road junction with Lin Shing Road, it reportedly knocked down a 77-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where she was certified dead at about 4.55 pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
