Appeal for information on person fell from height case in

         Police today (September 15) appealed to members of the public for information on a case of person fell from height in which a 19-year-old man died in Shatin in March 2003.

          Enquiries revealed that the 19-year-old man was accompanied by three other men back to Sheung Sam House, Lung Hang Estate in Shatin on the early morning of March 31, 2003. The man was later found plunged from the 24th floor of building.

Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and was certified dead at 4.45 am on the same day.

Footage retrieved from the closed circuit television of the building showed that the deceased went up the scene with the three men who later descended to the 14th floor. Later, the trio was seen covering their face with their clothing and rushing out of the building entrance.

Among the trio, two of them are both of medium build. Aged about 28 to 30, one stands about 1.72 metres and was seen wearing a jacket. The other man aged about 35 to 40 stands about 1.69 metres and was seen wearing a dark shirt with dots.

           Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the two men or has information on the case to offer is urged to contact the officers of District Crime Squad of Shatin on 2694-6237.
