Secretary for Home Affairs Dr Patrick Ho sent his heartiest congratulations to the Hong Kong table tennis team that won a total of eight medals at the 17th Asian Table Tennis Championships, which ended today (September 2).
Ms Lin Ling and Ms Lau Sui-fei made a perfect score sheet by winning a gold medal and a silver medal respectively in the Women's Singles while Mr Li Ching won a silver in the Men's Singles today.
In the Asian Table Tennis Championships held between August 27 and September 2 in Jeju, South Korea, the Hong Kong team won a total of three gold, three silver and two bronze medals in seven events.
"I want you to know how happy I am to hear that our team has excelled again in this important championship event. So you've done it. These awards are what you all richly deserve," Dr Ho said.
