The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, left Hong Kong today (August 31) for a duty visit to Beijing, Xinjiang and Guangzhou.
While in Beijing, Mr Lee will meet his counterparts at the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the Ministry of Public Security.
Mr Lee will fly to Urumqi on Saturday (September 3). He will meet officials of the Department of Public Security of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and visit anti-terrorism and border security facilities at Altay and Yining.
Mr Lee will meet officials of the Guangdong Public Security Bureau in Guangzhou before returning to Hong Kong on September 9.
