Seminars on business plan writing to be held at Cyberport

    The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited:

     Jointly organised by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, the Chinese University of Hong Kong Center for Entrepreneurship and the Faculty of Business Administration, and Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, the ˇ§Good Business Plan Writing Seminarsˇ¨ will be held on September 10 and 24, 2005. Aiming at improving business plan writing skills of local entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in digital entertainment, IT-related and creative industries, the seminars will focus on the skills of writing a good business plan that will get you funded.

     Hong Kong Cyberport is proud to have the presence of Mr Denis Tse of Private Equity Technology (Asia) as the speaker of the seminars. Mr Tse is the first inductee from Asia to the Kauffman Fellowship, the premier international recognition for young venture capitalist and has successfully raised over $100 million capital for a new business venture. In the seminars, Mr Tse will share his valuable business plan writing experience, which can definitely help the attendees improve their business plan writing skills.

     Attendees of the Good Business Plan Writing Seminars will be eligible to participate in the ˇ§Cyberport Venture Capital Forum 2005 ˇV Digital Entertainment Business Plan Competitionˇ¨, which will be held between September 1 and October 31, 2005. Winners will be entitled to present the awarded business plan to world-class venture capitalists. What is more, attendees may also be eligible to join the Cyberport Digital Entertainment Incubation-cum-Training Centre* as the potential incubatees or pre-incubatees. Details will be subsequently released on the Cyberport official website.

* Subject to approval, the Innovation and Technology Commission will shortly launch the Cyberport Digital Entertainment Incubation-cum-Training Centre (Cyberport IncuTrain Centre) at Cyberport, offering a brand-new three-year incubation programme with an aim to nurturing 30-45 companies in the digital entertainment and digital multimedia industries.
