The Lands Department announced today (August 24) that New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6350, located at Fung Shing Street, Ngau Chi Wan had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.
The sale of the lot will be by an auction already scheduled for September 27, 2005 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
A Lands Department spokesman said that the Government had accepted the minimum guaranteed bid of $2.49 billion for the lot and this would be the opening bid at the auction.
The spokesman noted that, following the announcement of the successful triggering of two other lots on August 18, this would be the third lot to be offered for sale at the first land auction of this financial year and also the third successful triggering of a site after the introduction of the new measure to enhance the smooth operation of the Application List System was announced on June 21, 2005.
New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6350 has a site area of 14,400 square metres and a minimum gross floor area of 43,377 square metres must be completed. The lot is designated for private residential purposes.
The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Departments website (http://www.info.gov.hk/landsd/) by September 9, 2005 when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
