Following is the transcript of remarks (English portion) by the Financial Secretary, Mr Henry Tang, to the media on the appointment of Mr Rafael Hui as the Chief Secretary for Administration in the lobby of West Wing, Central Government Offices this (June 30) afternoon:

Reporter: Mr Tang, can you say a few words about Mr Hui and what advice do you have for him?

Financial Secretary: I welcome Mr Hui being appointed as the Chief Secretary for Administration. He has a wide range of experience as well as a wide network in the community. I have every reason to believe that he will be able to do the job of Chief Secretary extremely well. I will co-operate with him fully.
