Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology (SCIT), Mr John Tsang, to the media after attending the "Talkabout" programme of the Radio Television Hong Kong this morning (April 25):
Reporter: Mr Tsang, could you talk about setting up a blacklist for people who are sending out junk mail?
SCIT: We have been discussing how to deal with the issue with all the ISPs (Internet Services Providers) and one of the suggestions is to set up a list of those who are sending a lot of junk mails to people. This is an effective way, but we need to try to balance the various issues involved. We are still discussing with the ISPs and hopefully in the next couple of months, we will be able to inform everyone how we are going to deal with this problem.
