Following is the speech by the Acting Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade at Tamar Site tonight (February 9):

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have great pleasure in welcoming our international visitors, performing groups, national tourism organisations and local viewers to the 10th International Chinese New Year Parade.  I am sure this world-class spectacle will bring you a most enjoyable and memorable holiday.

With many new attractions including the Hong Kong Disneyland coming on stream, I am sure that Hong Kong will continue to be the most popular tourist destination among all Asian cities.  And we are ready to receive many more visitors in the coming year and share with them the unique experience of this Asia's World City.
