A Government spokesman said today (December 28) that four more immigration officers had been deployed in two batches to Phuket in Thailand and Colombo in Sri Lanka respectively to assist and facilitate the safe return of Hong Kong residents affected by the tsunamis.
Senior Immigration Officer Lee Sau-yan and Immigration Officer Chung Shui-hing took the KA2314 flight to Phuket at 3.10pm today.
Immigration Officers Chan Shiu-kong and Choi Chi-yuen departed for Colombo on flight CX703 at 6.25pm today.
