The Clinical Psychology Units of the Social Welfare Department will provide emotional support through a hotline service to people affected by the tsunamis caused by the earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia.
The department has set up a special hotline 9184 3775 manned by clinical psychologists in order to give the public some useful information about possible traumatic reaction and some tips on coping so as to relieve emotional stress, a spokesman said.
People in need of this service can now call up the hotline daily from 9am to 10pm.
