2005 CEPA arrangements for HK manufacturers announced

The Trade and Industry Department announced today (December 28) the 2005 arrangements for Hong Kong manufacturers to request additional Hong Kong origin products imported by the Mainland to be included in the next phase of zero tariff implementation under the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA).

In accordance with the provisions of CEPA, for those Hong Kong origin goods that have not yet been enjoying the Mainland's preferential treatment of zero tariff status, the Hong Kong manufacturers concerned may submit applications to the department. Subsequently, the Mainland and Hong Kong will conduct consultations on the applications.
