The Police Community Carnival 2004, a fund-raising event jointly organised by the Police and The Community Chest (the Chest), will take place on November 20 and 21 at the Police Training School in Wong Chuk Hang and the Aberdeen Sports Ground.
The two-day spectacle also aims at enhancing the public's understanding of the work of the Force as well as strengthening the Force's commitment towards serving the community.
A range of exciting activities will be staged at the Carnival. Visitors will be able to watch demonstrations and performances by various Police formations including Police Dog Unit, Special Duties Unit and the Police Band. There will also be display booths showing different areas of Police work and entertaining game stalls for members of the public to take part in.
Tickets, priced at $50 each, are now on sale at 22 designated Police Community Relations Offices and office of the Chest on a first-come-first-served basis. Proceeds will be donated to the Chest for charity.
Each ticket can admit its holder to one of the four sessions of the Carnival on November 20 and 21. The morning sessions will run from 8.30 am to at 1.30 pm and the afternoon sessions from 1 pm to 6 pm.
