The Financial Secretary has appointed Messrs Joseph Hui Sik-wing and James Wardell as members of the Insider Dealing Tribunal to inquire into possible insider dealings in the listed securities of Gilbert Holdings Limited (now delisted) in 1998.

Appointment of the two members was made pursuant to section 15(2) of the Securities (Insider Dealing) Ordinance (Cap. 395). Mr Hui is a certified public accountant (practising) and chartered accountant and is now working with Hui Sik Wing & Co. Mr Wardell is a chartered accountant and is the Executive Chairman of Horwath Corporate Advisory Services Limited. Both are familiar with the operation of Hong Kong's financial market.

They will sit on the tribunal under the chairmanship of the Honourable Mr Justice Lugar-Mawson. The preliminary hearing of the inquiry is scheduled for 4.30pm on Monday (September 13) in Room 702, Tower Two, Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway.
