Police today (September 9) charged a 58-year-old man with one count of common assault.

A report was made to the Police at about 7.40 am today that two men, aged 31 and 47, were attacked by a man while they were conducting election-related activities on a footbridge leading to Sheung Shui Kowloon-Canton Railway Station.

Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 58-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the case.

The man was subsequently charged with one count of common assault and had appeared in Fanling Magistrates' Courts this afternoon.

The case is adjourned to September 23 at the same court.
