The Financial Secretary has appointed Messrs Yeung Yuen-bun, Benny and Pang Hon-chung, as members to the Insider Dealing Tribunal to inquire into possible insider dealing in the listed securities of Chinney Alliance Group Limited in 1999.

The appointment of the two members was made pursuant to section 15(2) of the Securities (Insider Dealing) Ordinance (Cap 395). Mr Yeung is a practising solicitor and a partner of Messrs Cheng, Yeung & Co, which handles litigation, corporate commerce, property conveyance, finance and probate. Mr Pang is the Director of Finance and General Manager of Lotus International Limited. Both are familiar with the operation of Hong Kong's financial markets.

They will sit on the tribunal under the chairmanship of the Honourable Mr Justice McMahon, Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court. The preliminary hearing of the inquiry will start at 9am tomorrow (April 8) at the Insider Dealing Tribunal, 38/F Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai.
