Following is the transcript of remarks given by the Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, on the Budget at a meet-the-media session this afternoon (March 10):
The Financial Secretary has just presented the Budget for the coming financial year. This budget actually fully reflects our policy direction, which is people-based governance, allowing the community some respite and the revitalisation of our economy. And, this particular Budget fully reflects the policy direction we have set. It is a good budget and I hope citizens of Hong Kong will support this Budget.
