HK avian flu team's Hanoi schedule revised

The time schedule for the clinical team of four experts from Hong Kong to assist Vietnamese doctors in the clinical aspects of human avian influenza has been revised.

A Department of Health spokesman said today (February 5) that the team, which offered assistance at the request of the Ministry of Health, Vietnam, would set off on Sunday (February 8) and returned on February 13.

The team's activities will include visits to major hospitals in Hanoi, lectures, training sessions and ward rounds.

The team will be led by the department's honorary consultant, Professor Yuen Kwok-yung of the University of Hong Kong. Other members are Professor David Hui of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Chu Chung-ming and Dr Ng Yiu-ki of the Hospital Authority.
