Police last (October 31) night arrested three men suspected to have violated the Banking Ordinance.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority referred a case to the Police yesterday that a website bearing the name of a bank purportedly offered banking services in Hong Kong.
Following extensive investigations, officers of the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) arrested three men aged 34 to 47 during a raid at an office in Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui on suspicion of contravening sections 92, 93 and 97 of the Banking Ordinance.
Some documents and computers were also seized during the operation.
Enquiries by CCB are continuing.
